Germania Mutual suggests that homeowners use a surge protection system that provides protection directly at your breaker panel.  This type of protection reduces the risk of damage caused by lightning or a hydro line power surge.  The CHSP 3-way system diverts surges away from your electronics preventing the inconvenience of a loss.

These systems cost approximately $200, but we allow a $50 installation credit when one of our insured's has one installed.  The CHSP system can be purchased through Germania Mutual by our insured's for $200 - $50 installation credit = $150 including GST.
